The Sokoto State Chapter of the Gender-Based Violence/Child Protection Response Team has called on the Nigeria Police Force and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to immediately prosecute one Fausiyya Rabo Dogon Daji for allegedly trafficking, torture, and abuse of 14-year-old Bashariya Usman. At a meeting in Sokoto on Tuesday, the team accused the authorities of an unexplained delay in taking action against the suspect despite the overwhelming evidence, warning against any compromise that could jeopardise justice.
