An Akure Magistrate’s Court in Ondo State has ordered the remand of a 30-year-old man, Samson Okegbua, over allegations that he sexually assaulted an 18-year-old female hawker in Ijagba Community, Ifon. The defendant was arraigned on rape charges under the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law of Ondo State, 2020, and ordered to remain in custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
