Bangladesh Measles Crisis: Over 1,000 Children Dead as Vaccination Gaps Fuel Deadliest Outbreak in Decades

In Bangladesh, over 1,000 children have already lost their lives to measles since March, with millions of children still at risk from the highly contagious disease due to a lack of vaccines. The outbreak is the deadliest in decades in the country, with 1,002 children killed and 187,484 infections reported, health officials said Wednesday. Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has released the figures.
