Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has sued Netflix, alleging the streaming giant secretly collected and tracked users’ behavioural data, including information from children’s profiles, despite repeatedly promising subscribers a privacy-focused service. The 66-page lawsuit claims Netflix gathered years of data before launching its advertising-supported platform in 2022, raising fresh concerns over children’s privacy and the use of their data by digital platforms.
