A man has been sentenced as part of an investigation into the Boy Scouts of America, according to Michigan’s Attorney General

< 1 min read

Mark Chapman, a former Boy Scouts of America troop leader, has been sentenced to 12–20 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. The sentence will run concurrently with another 10-15-year term. Chapman, from New York, was charged in March for abusing two victims. The first victim was allegedly abused from the age of 13 or 14 until he was 17, while the second case involved abuse of a family member starting at the age of 11. Attorney General Dana Nessel emphasised her commitment to delivering justice for sexual assault survivors and encouraged others with information to come forward.
