The Texas State Board of Education recently passed a preliminary vote to include Bible-based teachings in the public school curriculum, with the final vote scheduled for Friday. If approved, the new law would allow Bible lessons, including the Golden Rule and stories from books like Genesis, to be taught to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Schmukler emphasized the importance of teaching respect and peace, alongside academic subjects, for a successful society.
