JAMB Orders Re-upload of WAEC Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a fresh directive to all candidates seeking admission for the 2025 academic year.

According to its weekly bulletin released on Monday, every candidate who uploaded their O-level results before the release of the final 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results must return to an accredited centre and re-upload the official records.

The Board explained that it has cleared all previously uploaded results from its system. The move, JAMB said, is to prevent discrepancies and ensure that only verified WAEC results are used during the admission process.

“Some candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with ‘awaiting results’ had prematurely uploaded incomplete WAEC records before the final release,” the bulletin stated. “To address this, a fresh upload is mandatory for all candidates, regardless of whether the new results differ from the earlier submission.”

Candidates are therefore strongly advised to complete the re-upload process without delay to remain eligible for admission consideration.

This directive is not just an administrative measure; it reinforces the importance of fairness, transparency, and accuracy in educational opportunities. At its heart, it aligns with child’s right to education, ensuring that every student’s access to higher learning is based on authentic and reliable academic records.
