The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has detained a 10-year-old boy, Bright James, for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl. The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, clarified that the boy voluntarily admitted to the offense without any coercion.
The incident is under investigation, and the findings, including a medical report, have confirmed the occurrence. The police has emphasized that there was no trial by ordeal and that such practices are illegal under Nigerian law.
