Prince George Enters Elite School Designed to Shape World Leaders

Britain’s Prince George is set to continue a long-standing royal tradition by enrolling at Eton College, one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious private schools.

Kensington Palace confirmed that the 12-year-old prince, who is second in line to the British throne, will begin his studies at the elite Berkshire school from September.

Eton College, known for educating members of the British establishment, has produced several prominent figures, including former prime ministers, actors, and public leaders. The school’s alumni include former UK prime ministers such as Boris Johnson and David Cameron, as well as actors Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston.

The institution, located near Windsor, charges annual fees of about £63,000 ($80,000) and operates as a full boarding school, meaning students live and study within the school grounds.

Prince George’s decision to attend Eton follows in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, who studied there from 1995, as well as his uncle, Prince Harry, who attended the school from 1998.

The young royal will turn 13 in July before starting at Eton, which is located just a few miles from the family’s home at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

As the eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, George’s education has attracted public attention due to his future role within the monarchy and his position as the next generation of royal leadership.
