A young girl is dead after being pulled from a pond in Zebulon on Wednesday evening, police said. According to the Zebulon Police Department, officers and firefighters responded around 6 p.m. to a report of a drowning on the 1200 block of Randwick Valley Court. When officers arrived on scene, police said they dragged the girl out of the water, and first responders immediately began attempting life-saving measures.
