An 8-year-old child has died following a crash in Charlotte, North Carolina, with police alleging that the driver was speeding, impaired and operating a vehicle without a valid licence at the time of the incident. Mayra Castaneda, 32, has been charged with felony death by vehicle and is being held on a $1 million bond as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
