The rescue of 46 students from an overnight attack at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, Borno State, has brought fresh concerns to the safety of children in conflict-affected communities. The North-East Joint Task Force (NEJTF), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), reported that Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists allegedly broke into the school premises in the early hours of July 19, triggering a response from the troops and Nigeria Police Mobile Force (NPMF).
