Lucy Letby, previously convicted for murdering seven babies and attempting to murder six others at a hospital, has been found guilty again, this time for attempting to murder a premature baby girl by dislodging her breathing tube. The incident occurred in 2016 at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit. Letby, a nurse, was caught in the act by a consultant pediatrician but denied wrongdoing throughout the trial. The baby, born extremely premature, was successfully resuscitated but later died from complications.
