The Lee County School District is still working to reach an agreement with its teachers. A third negotiating meeting took place recently, but it produced little in terms of results. After the meeting, confusion arose regarding where the two parties stand. The district sent out a press release saying that agreements had been reached on certain topics, like base pay and parental leave. However, the teachers’ union quickly reached out to clarify that they had not agreed to anything yet.
