The Summer Rising program, which began citywide today, aims to engage nearly 110,000 students from kindergarten to 8th grade throughout the summer. Operating Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the program accommodates students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) with adjusted schedules. Despite enrollment closing earlier, approximately 150 schools and providers may still have available spots, with parents encouraged to join waitlists to fill any open seats. The program concludes in early August, with variations in end dates depending on student grades and a closure this Thursday for the Fourth of July.
