Over 140 child rights, digital rights and mental health organisations and experts are calling on the European Union to make digital services safer for children, not by restricting children’s access to technology. 144 organisations and experts signed a joint letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen ahead of her State of the Union address on September 16, asking for a harmonised European framework that will make digital products and services safe for children by design and by default.
