Matthew Schnapp, a former assistant with the marching band programs at Highlands High School and Highlands Middle School, has been charged with 30 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography involving minors under age 12. The charges followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which flagged Schnapp’s online accounts. Fort Thomas Independent Schools Superintendent Brian Robinson informed families of Schnapp’s immediate termination from the district and emphasized there is no evidence that the case involves any students from the district. Schnapp’s arraignment is scheduled for August 29. The Kenton County Police Department is seeking additional information from the public.
