February 21 2024- A total of 28 premature babies who were left in Gaza’s al-Chifa hospital after its evacuation on Saturday have arrived in Egypt via the Rafah crossing, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and Egyptian state media. The Palestinian Red Crescent transported the babies from the Emirates Hospital in Rafah to the Rafah crossing, which is not controlled by Israel. While 28 infants have reached Egypt, three others are still receiving treatment at the Emirates Hospital in Rafah. The evacuation, which included 31 premature babies, was facilitated with the help of the Israeli army. The babies arrived in Egypt in ambulances equipped with incubators and are being transferred to Al-Arich hospital.
