A former Dumont mayor and current Jersey City police sergeant was arrested on Nov. 17 and charged with sexual assault of a juvenile, officials said. Andrew LaBruno, 44, of Dumont was a stranger to the alleged affected child reported the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, which said he engaged in conversation with the juvenile on social media and made arrangements to meet.
