A 47-year-old Kansas man who used artificial intelligence to create child pornography has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Jeremy Weber of Topeka was convicted on five counts of transportation of child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Kansas said in a release that Weber uploaded pictures of women and children he knew into a publicly available AI platform. He then utilized AI to manipulate and merge their images into hundreds of depictions of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Weber also uploaded previously trafficked images to the same platform.
