Karmelo Anthony’s family is refusing to accept his murder conviction and 35-year prison sentence, vowing to keep fighting for their son as his appeal moves forward. Speaking at a news conference in Dallas, his father, Andrew Anthony, declared, “We’re going to keep fighting and this is not over.” Anthony’s attorneys are expected to begin filing arguments before the Fifth Court of Appeals this autumn in an appeal that could continue into next year.
