A Lagos State civil servant, Rachael Jatto, is appealing to the public for financial assistance to save her eight-year-old son, who urgently requires open-heart surgery abroad. According to a medical report made available to PUNCH Metro on Thursday, the affected child, a patient at the X-Serve Children’s Hospital, was diagnosed at birth with Tetralogy of Fallot—a serious congenital heart defect. He underwent his first surgery at just four months old at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital in 2017, during which doctors implanted a heart valve.
