Most Students and Teachers in District Return to Class After Apalachee High Shooting

After the recent shooting at Apalachee High School, most students and teachers in Barrow County returned to classes on Tuesday, though no date has been set for the school’s reopening. Faustino Ventura, who is involved with local youth and has family in the school system, noted that while there’s unease among students about the potential for more violence, life must continue. To help ease the transition, comfort dogs will be brought to some schools to provide emotional support during this difficult time.
