Partnership teaches West Virginia students the fun side of math and science

More than 150 second, third, and fourth graders at Warwood Elementary School learned some principles of math and engineering on Thursday — all while having fun. The Expand Energy Corporation partnered with Libera Inc., a nonprofit organization, to teach students how to create rockets using just a drinking straw and a piece of paper. By measuring how far the paper projectile traveled, students were able to apply math skills in a hands-on way.
