A Cross River State High Court has sentenced apostle Ubong Bassey Etim to death for the murder of his 16-year-old daughter, Deborah Bassey, after she was falsely accused of witchcraft. The case has renewed calls for stronger protection of children from harmful beliefs and abuse.
