School Recruiting for Head Teacher After Sudden Closure

< 1 min read

Danesfield Middle School in Williton, Somerset unexpectedly closed due to senior staff absences. Parents were informed on Monday evening that the school would remain closed until July 8th. This closure has caused significant challenges for parents like Sam, who run businesses and must now find alternative childcare on short notice. Beacon Education, the school’s trust, acknowledged the strain on families and stated they are recruiting a new head teacher to stabilize the school’s leadership. The closure is unrelated to recent Ofsted evaluations, and the school will see new management starting September, following mandated merger talks with Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust.
