Two Florida lawmakers announced on Thursday that they have filed legislation requiring two presidential portraits to be displayed in every Florida classroom across the state. The legislation, proposed by Senator Danny Burgess (R-Zephyrhills) and Representative John Snyder (R-Stuart), aims to highlight the nation’s first president, George Washington, and the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln.
