Unsecured Mirror Claims Life of Parenting Influencer’s 22-Month-Old Son

Parenting influencer Lindsay Dewey shared the unimaginable loss of her 22-month-old son, Reed, who tragically passed away in February after an unsecured mirror fell on him at their Idaho home. Reed had been playing with a suction cup bowl, unknowingly pulling on the mirror until it came down. Despite Lindsay reaching him within seconds, Reed sustained severe injuries and was later declared brain dead.
In the face of unthinkable grief, Lindsay and her family made the brave decision to donate Reed’s organs, giving five other children a second chance at life.
“I’ve been telling myself, ‘If he doesn’t get his miracle, he will become one,'” Lindsay shared on Instagram. “Even though his wasn’t saved, he is saving lives.”
A local clothing brand, Little Hunters Wife, has launched the “Remembering Reed” collection, with all profits going directly to support Lindsay and her husband, Eric.
