When MacKenzie Scott and Jeff Bezos divorced in 2019 after 25 years of marriage, she reportedly walked away with a big portion of his Amazon fortune.
Some reports indicated that she even received a quarter of Bezos’ Amazon shares – valued at around $53 billion in 2021 – making her one of the wealthiest women in the world.
In 2021, Scott remarried Dan Jewett, a Seattle-based chemistry teacher who had spent most of his life in the classroom, arguably making him the richest educator in the world.
The quiet wedding surprised many, as Jewett wasn’t a public figure. The couple met at the private school where Scott’s children were students.
