California has one of the most diverse teacher workforces in the country, according to a report released Tuesday by the National Council on Teacher Quality.
The state is making steady progress toward a more diverse educator workforce, with 45% of its teachers now coming from historically disadvantaged racial groups, compared with 39% of the college-educated adults in the state, according to the report, “What Can California, Texas, and Washington, D.C., Teach Us About How to Diversify the Teacher Workforce?”
