A 7-year-old girl is fighting for her life in a Utah hospital after deputies say the girl’s mother shot her four daughters before taking her own life.
Sisters Brailey and Olivia Blackmer, 9 and 7, respectively, were the closest of friends. They split their time between Utah and Wyoming. In Utah, they stayed with their father and stepmother, Quinn and Katelynn Blackmer, and their new baby half-brother. In Wyoming, they stayed with their mother, stepfather and two toddler-aged half-sisters.
“They were just giggly and cute, and… they always held hands,” said Denise Beatty, a family friend of the Blackmers.
