A student was caught with drugs while at a Memphis Shelby County School in South Memphis Tuesday morning, police say. Officers say they arrived at George Washington Carver High on 1591 Pennsylvania Street around 11 a.m. regarding a drugs/narcotics violation. A Shelby County School Officer says it started when a teacher in the in-school suspension class noticed a loud odor of marijuana coming from the student.
