Bauchi children suffering chronic malnutrition – UNICEF

The United Nations Children’s Fund has, for the umpteenth time, sounded the alarm that Bauchi State has a high rate of chronic malnutrition stunting children’s growth. This deficiency, UNICEF said can be attributed to poor breastfeeding practices. The international body, while warning on the dangers this alarming situation portends for the state called for the  need for increased support for breastfeeding mothers in the state.
