The United Nations Children’s Fund has said that only 15 per cent of breastfeeding mothers in Niger State practice six months of exclusive breastfeeding for their newborns. UNICEF Health Specialist, Dr Ahmed Tsofo, made this known on Thursday during the flag-off of the 2025 World Breastfeeding Week in Minna, where he urged more mothers and their husbands to encourage pregnant women to adopt the practice.
