NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee lawmakers have approved new child labour protections aimed at safeguarding children featured in monetized online content, requiring influencers to financially compensate minors who appear in their videos. The legislation, SB1469, has passed both chambers of the state legislature and now awaits Governor Bill Lee’s signature.
