A mother has been convicted of killing her 11-month-old son after allegedly abducting him across state lines in an attempt to prevent his father from taking custody. Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, was accused of taking Basil Stoner from Wyoming to New Mexico despite a court order granting custody to the child’s father, before fatally shooting the baby inside an RV near Silver City on December 23, 2025.
