Students in Arnold High School’s construction program are gaining practical skills by building a 576-square-foot house, equipped with a kitchen, bedroom, and walk-in closet. The completed house was sold for $60,000 to be used as an Airbnb, showcasing the students’ craftsmanship. Through certifications like NCC Core and OSHA 30, students are prepared for the workforce, with some already receiving job offers from collaborating companies. The project was sponsored by DR Horton Homes and the St. Joe Company, with proceeds reinvested in future construction class initiatives.
