No Child Should Miss School Because of Poverty, Zazzau Emir Declares

The Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has urged communities, philanthropists and wealthy individuals to ensure that no child is denied education because of poverty, warning that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and build a better future.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of UMRABS School in Tudun Jukun, Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the monarch expressed concern over the growing number of out-of-school children in northern Nigeria. He called on members of the public to support children from low-income families by helping to pay school fees and other educational expenses.
The Emir stressed that education is a fundamental right that should not depend on a family’s financial situation. He also encouraged parents to work closely with teachers in providing children with quality education, discipline and strong moral values, describing the family as the foundation for raising responsible future leaders.
Commending the graduating pupils for their confidence and academic achievements, he praised teachers for their dedication to nurturing children.
The Emir further called on communities to complement government efforts in expanding access to education, noting that collective action is essential to reducing the number of out-of-school children and protecting every child’s right to learn in a safe and supportive environment.
He emphasised that investing in children’s education today is an investment in the nation’s future.
