In Pennsylvania, a 3-year-old child is critically injured after being hit by a car when left unattended in a motel room. The Jefferson Hills Police responded to the incident on Saturday evening at Econo Lodge, where the child wandered onto Route 51 and was struck in the northbound lanes. The mother, Shawnae Galberth, left the 3-year-old and a 2-year-old unattended in the room, leading to the incident. Galberth has been arrested on two felony counts of endangering the welfare of children and taken to Allegheny County Jail. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
