A New York school district has delayed plans to use a human-like artificial intelligence robot in classrooms, citing concerns about children’s privacy, safety and the role of technology in learning. The Salamanca City Central School District had authorized a nearly $60,000 purchase of an AI-powered humanoid robot named “Sally” to help high school students learn about robotics and technology and artificial intelligence.
