The Bellevue High School football game scheduled for Saturday night at Lynn Camp High School in Corbin, Ky., has been canceled due to an ongoing manhunt related to a recent shooting on I-75 in Laurel County. Bellevue Independent Schools canceled the game to prioritize the safety of players and coaching staff. Bellevue athletic director Jim Hicks confirmed the cancellation was a mutual decision and that the team is seeking a new opponent for their bye weekend on September 20-21. Bellevue’s next scheduled game is against Gamble Montessori on September 27. This cancellation follows the postponement of another game on Thursday due to a shooting near Taft High School.
