Bismarck school leaders adopted a two-tiered school bus system in January. The new system will stagger pickup and start times for elementary and secondary students. According to Bismarck Public Schools (BPS), the old system was no longer feasible for several reasons, including long routes, driver shortages and pickup times. In the past week, BPS has received hundreds of calls and messages from parents with questions and concerns. Many of the new concerns are about bus routes and the new neighborhood stops, especially for rural pickups.
