Parents, teachers and community members have rallied against the possible closure of Blain Elementary School, warning that shutting the school could disrupt children’s education, affect their wellbeing and create new challenges for families in the West Perry community. The debate comes as the school board considers declining enrolment, ageing infrastructure and costly repairs among the reasons behind the proposed closure.
