State school board members voiced concern to Superintendent Ryan Walters on new rankings that put the state’s education quality at 50th. “When you look at education rankings, a lot of these are ridiculous,” said Supt. Walters, when asked about it after Thursday’s board meeting. Specifically, WalletHub found that Oklahoma has low spending and a weak school system, especially compared to the rest of the nation. “It came out that we are 50th in education,” said Board Member Becky Carson.
