Governor Joe Lombardo announced that the Nevada Department of Education will require the Clark County School District (CCSD) to implement a Corrective Action Plan and has appointed a Compliance Monitor due to the district’s failure to comply with state regulations regarding recent budget issues. Lombardo emphasized that Clark County students, teachers, and families deserve confidence in their school district. The governor stressed that unprecedented funding demands unprecedented accountability, and that CCSD must improve communication and transparency. The state had sought explanations from CCSD regarding the budget issues in September and October.
