Despite close supervision, my friend’s dog bit my 5-year-old on a group vacation, causing injury. Though I understand it was an accident, I struggle with forgiving my friend. While I know she didn’t intend for this to happen, it’s hard to move past the fact that her dog harmed my child. Forgiveness may be important for our friendship, but I’m unsure how to approach it. In the meantime, I believe my friend should cover any medical expenses, and I feel reporting the incident is necessary for everyone’s safety, including the dog’s.
