Preparations for the International Schools Federation (ISF) World Schools Cross Country Championships in Nairobi are nearing completion, with 450 young athletes from 25 countries set to compete. The event, running from May 9 to 14, will feature six categories, with the main competition scheduled for May 12 at the Ngong Racecourse. Chief Executive Officer Barnaba Korir assures that all arrangements for the arrival, transportation, accommodation, and medical needs of the participants are in place. Key hotels like Ibis Styles Hotel, Mercure Hotel, and Weston Hotel have been designated to host visitors. Korir mentions that while the current rainy conditions are suitable for cross-country, they are monitoring the racecourse’s conditions closely.
