These educators, including Jennifer Dantuono-Adams, Kerry Larnerd, and Sandra Tomburo, allege that after signing their contracts, they were informed their agreed-upon salaries could not be honored and they were instead placed on an outdated salary schedule from a decade ago. The former principals report significant pay cuts: Larnerd lost $31,000, Dantuono-Adams over $40,000, and Tomburo faced a $35,000 reduction. Tomburo, who left a higher-paying position at a charter school to join CCSD, expressed frustration at her decision. Dantuono-Adams, who had been earning a six-figure salary, now earns similar pay to a new teacher after 30 years of service. The educators are angry and feel the situation is not only unfair but potentially illegal.
