A woman in Texas identified as Kaitlyn Rose Laura has been charged in what authorities describe as a “horrific” medical child abuse case, after an arrest affidavit alleges she repeatedly misled healthcare providers about her 3-year-old son’s condition in order to secure unnecessary medical procedures, including the surgical insertion of feeding tubes.
