My Kids Have Started Exploring Grown-Up Foods. But My Family Wants to Stand in Their Way

< 1 min read

My husband and I live near my sister and brother-in-law. My husband and I have 7-year-old female twins, and my sister has an 8-year-old daughter. On most Sundays, we have a family brunch/lunch at a local dinner one of the nicer ones where you could order a mimosa if you want one or have pretty decent steak and eggs. We have been doing so for the past few years. Each family pays for what they order, and we get separate checks. Up until recently, my kids have been ordering off of the kids’ menu, but in the last few months, we have stopped making them “kids’ food” at home and basically require them to eat what is served, with some exceptions.
